Where The WILD Things Are!!!

As usual, I have neglected the blog, props to Natalie for starting one & motivating me to update ours!!! Here's a very random update of cuteness & funny things from our crazy busy life! We hope everyone had a good Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, New Year, MLK day, President's Day Valentine's Day... did I miss anything?

What snuggling on the couch with Daddy means when you have three kids 2 & under!

Daddy & Mommy's new toy! 77' Internation Scout II

-or- As E&O call it, the BIG BIG orange truck.

We had Hudson baptized Dec. 30th at Edenton Street United Methodist church.
He was a champ. Wide awake (well not in the picture) and checking out his church family the whole time Rev. Johnson was walking up the church aisle with him.

Our not so little family of 5. Dare, Hudson, Owen, Ryan, & Elijah.

OK, now this picture we are sending into Dave Letterman, Jay Leno or somebody!
Look closely, that IS indeed a slide on top of a car. Welcome to NC folks.
No not really, this is a very extreme case of redneck, most of us have more sense than that. Regardless, Ryan and I actually backed up on and drove up a little driveway to get this picture. Tears pouring down our faces & all! Classic.. love it.

Below: Elijah demonstrating the proper sock removal technique at Grammer & Papa's one night while watching their new fav show, The WONDER PETS.

Elijah & Owen have been growing like weeds and are learning all types of new things! Their latest addition to those cute little brains is the song "Jesus Loves Me" which just so happens to melt my heart everytime they sing it. They really like "...but he is STRONG" and flex their muscles when they sing it. CUTE CUTE CUTE! I'll try to get it on video for you guys.

Hudson will be 11 weeks on Friday. It's hard to believe it's already been almost 3 months!!! He is really starting to slim back down like E&O but he is so loooooong compared to them at this age. He's almost sitting up by himself and he can roll over now! He laughs and coos like crazy with a big gummy grin on his face! His blue eyes are changing, some days they look green, some days they look light brown, they MIGHT be hazel . Right around the pupil is most definitely GREEN though, which this little Mommy hopes doesn't change! We will see. At Hudson's 8 week check up he was 13 lbs and 24 inches long. E&O are only 36 inches & 29 lbs at 2.5 yrs if that helps you put his length into perspective. He's sleeping through the night (10 pm-7 am) he's been doing that for several weeks now, ahhhh sleep! It amazing the difference solid sleep makes.

Ryan and I are both doing superb! We just bought the 77' Scout in the picture above. When Ryan started looking for a fun/play car, he was looking at classic broncos, land cruisers, and jeep CJs & grand wagoneers but the Scout won him over! :) I think he is equally in love with the scout as I am now. It's a tank!! 35" super swamper tires, 3" lift on top of an already large frame vehicle. It's no wonder the boys call it the big big orange truck. She's a beauty though and really doesn't need any mechanical work just a few cosmetic restorations! Ryan found out that scout in spanish slang means "the other woman"... how appropriate!

I recently closed down Pint Sized Party and have begun on a new adventure. One that's less time consuming compared to stocking over 20 party themes. I'll still be in the party planning industry but we'll only be offering tea parties! The name of the new business is "Topsy Turvy Teas". We'll be offering tea parties for both children and adults. Birthday parties, baby showers, bridal teas, etc. I'll keep you guys as informed of the launch date. Right now it's looking like probably not until the end of March. Websites are not a fun thing, with the exception of blogger of course!

More pics coming soon!!!! I have some super cute portraits of the big H, but I need to scan them in.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!
